A little goes a long way.

The cordless ECO3 has a modern chrome finish and a maximum capacity of 1.5 liters. Simply fill up the kettle and then select how much of the water you wish to boil by letting it enter the heating chamber. So you heat only the water you require while storing the rest for later use.

Heating up on savings.

There are also three different temperature settings for different purposes. The lowest setting is 80°C which is great for specialty teas, or for a hot drink that quickly needs to be ready for drinking - perfect for when you don’t have much time. The 90°C setting is good for making coffee and also allows you a quicker cooling time than boiling the kettle fully. The third setting allows you to boil the water fully for when only boiled water will do.

So by only heating the amount of water you need, and by using lower temperatures to boil it – you’re keeping it green and saving electricity!

Make your own eco-friendly, T-shirt shopping bag! Martha Steward had this fantastic idea to turn old t-shirts into reusable shopping or grocery bags. It’s simple, clever and best of all, green! Click here for instructions: What you need: Heavy-weight cotton T-shirt Pins Sewing machine Medium-size bowl Water-erasable marking pen Scissors How to make a t-shirt shopping bag: Turn t-shirt inside out and pin bottom of the t-shirt along the hem. Using a sewing machine, sew bottom of T-shirt closed. Flip shirt right side out and lay flat on table, making sure all seams are lined up. Place medium-size bowl about half-way over the neck hole. Using a water-erasable marking pen, trace along the edge of the bowl. Cut along the outline, making sure to go through the front and back sides of the shirt, in order to create an opening for the bag that's larger than what the neck hole allows. Line up the hems on the front and back side of the sleeve and cut, making sure to go through both sides of the shirt. Repeat on the other sleeve. Tip: A jersey shirt would also work well for this craft, as it is already sleeveless, and it's made of a great mesh material.
